Biography of
Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abdil Wahhaab 
 
His Lineage

Muhammad bin ‘Abdil Wahhaab bin Sulaymaan bin ‘Alee bin Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Raashid bin Burayd bin Muhammad bin Burayd bin Mushrif al Wahbee at Tameemee.

His Birth

He was born in ‘Uyaynah, Saudi Arabia, in 1115 AH (1703 CE).

His Teachers

The following are a selection of his main teachers:

                        His Father, Shaykh ‘Abdul Wahhaab bin Sulaymaan.

Makkah:          Shaykh ‘Abdullaah bin Saalim bin ‘Eesaa al Basree ash Shaafi’ee (d. 1134 AH).
Madeenah:      ‘Abdullaah bin Ibraaheem bin Sayf (d. 1140 AH).
                        Muhammad Hayah bin Ibraaheem as Sindee al Hanbalee (d. 1165 AH).
Ahsaa’:            ‘Abdullaah bin Fayrooz (d. 1175).
                        ‘Abdullaah bin Muhammad bin ‘Abdil Lateef al Ahsaa’ee.
                        Muhammad bin ‘Afaaliq.
                       
His Students

The Shaykh’s own sons:

His Death

He passed away in Dir’iyyah, Saudi Arabia, in 1206 AH (1791 CE) when he was 91 years old (may Allaah have mercy upon him).
